Act your age? Stuff that, I’m going to ride my age.
Yep, bending over is harder than it used to be and my hair to forehead ratio is still heading the wrong way. I’m getting old, damn old, and the big 33 (well it’s big for me!) is coming next Monday 23rd January.

So, just when most people are buckling down and starting to act their age I’m going to head the opposite direction and ride my age.
Well, not quite my age as I reckon even I could coast 33km, so I’m stepping up and out and am going to aim for 330km, in one day, on a bike, with no one pushing me along.
Holy hell I’ve come up with some stoopid ideas in my time and this one definitely ranks up there in the hall of stupid fame files.
Mrs Enduro Pulse is always my Stupid-Idea-Ometer and by today’s response of “That’s just beyond stupid” I know that I’m really on a winner.
The loose plan is to kick off at 3:30am (because that only sounds half as bad as 3:00am) on Sunday 22nd January 2012 leaving my door in Shellharbour and hug the coast up and down all day to the Royal National Park and back.
I’ll post the full Bryton map link in the next few days so if you’re keeping it local and want to see a slobbering old mess of a man trying to achieve the near on impossible I’d be happy to half attempt a conversation with you on the bike.
Whether I make it or not it doesn’t really matter as I know that the day I stop coming up with stupid ideas and going through with them then I really am getting old.
More updates soon.
22.1.12. Ride Your Age. 330km in one day.
