Adelaide By Bike - Destination Snapshot |
Written by Jamie Bailey

After a couple of days hanging out in Adelaide I’ve found some great little rides. Got to take in the coast and Greenhill Road on Saturday morning for a few hours then took to the hills proper this morning for four hours.
Great stuff! Some long climbs followed by some pinch climbs followed by more long climbs… Awesome. It was kind of hard to keep my focus on the road actually, particularly descending Gorge Rd...

Destination Review - Alice Springs |
If you’re after an extensive singletrack network, technical rocky riding and ever changing landscapes then make Alice Springs your next mountain biking destination.
Heading to Alice Springs in May this year I wasn’t sure what to expect from the trails. What I found was everything from technical rocky trails, flowing berms and tough sandy sections. It’s the kind of place that shocks you by the variety and the beautiful vistas you encounter along the way.

Destination Review - Wagga Wagga, NSW |
With the lure of miles of singletrack and five different riding locations I was in and ready to explore the trails at Wagga Wagga.
The largest inland city of NSW, Wagga Wagga is located 2.5 hours from Canberra, 4.5 hours from Sydney and 1.5 hours from Albury so it’s best to make your break for at least a long weekend away to get a full day on the trails.
From the punchy singletrack climbs and gully assualts at "Pomy" to the 30km long fast Wiradjuri Walking Track trail along the banks of the Murrumbidgee River Wagga Wagga has your riding covered.

Destination Review - Canberra, ACT |
Mountain biking and Canberra go together like, well, mountains and bikes. From the technical switchback climbs and loose shoulder high berms of Mt Stromlo to the pine forest trails of Sparrow Hill Canberra has got you covered.
There are plenty of free activities and attractions for all ages including the National Museum of Australia, a scenic walk around Lake Burley Griffin or a picnic in any of the beautiful parks around the city. Canberra, which is one of the world's only purpose built cities, is about a 2 hour drive south of Sydney.

Dinner Plain and Mt Hotham - On The Bike |
With State Forest on one side and National Park on the other the alpine village of Dinner Plain is sitting pretty in the middle. Dinner Plain, or DP as it’s known to the locals, is a small alpine village of approximately 300 houses located in the Victorian alps.
At just 10km’s further along the Great Alpine Road from Mt Hotham DP has some great trails, a few cafes and an all important pub complete with it’s own beer garden dirt jump track.

Destination Review - Mt Buller, Victoria |
Mt Buller is a stunning village for visitors all year round. Predominantly known for its fantastic skiing, Mt Buller can now be known as a great Summer destination too.
On The Bike you can expect perfectly bermed corners, technical switchback climbs, undulating singletrack and fire road blasts. Whether it's a short ride around the village or an epic over to neighbouring Mt Stirling you can ride all weekend and only get a taste of the trails on offer.

Bright is located at the foothills of the Victorian Alps and is one of the most beautiful towns all year round. In Autumn see the tree lined streets in full bloom with vibrant orange leaves. In Summer experience the warm clear days and enjoy a lilo ride down the river.
On The Bike and it's pine forest singletrack, rail trails and road alpine climbs galore. With a whole network of trails you can link together hours of riding or test yourself up the road climbs of Mt Hotham, Mt Buffalo, Falls Creek and Tawonga Gap.
