It's safe to say that I've got the mountain biking bug. Whether it's a cross country race, 24 hour solo or a blast with mates I'll have one of each please.
I'll be blogging away here on the training and general riding happenings of an enduro nutter.
About Me:

With my mobility a bit restricted at the moment the below sign outside the doctors surgery seemed quite apt. However where there's shade there's light and the sweetest looking 70's cruiser has just landed in my lap to lift the spirits.

I reckon you could pump up the tyres and this baby would be on the roads. I however have bigger plans and am already picturing a full restoration albeit changing of course to the Enduro Pulse colours. Hello new pit bike, this will be coming everywhere with me.

Speedwell Mustang. Sounds like a classic already.

Even with a leg and thumb splint I couldn't resist having a seat. If anyone out there has any tips in restoring a 70's dragster it would be great to be pointed in the right direction. Drop me a line at craig [@] enduropulse.com.au and it'd be appreciated - hey, I''ll even give you a ride!

Triple Treat For A Singletrack Mind |

Well that's that. Racing the Singletrack Mind Series at Mt Stromlo on the weekend I managed to score a triple treat. That is a fractured ankle, fractured thumb and bunged up knee. Good times!
But let's get back to the start. Right from the start I should have seen the signs coming. I was really just there to have a poke around for 4 or so hours after a couple of easy weeks to get over a cold. From the gun and my race was almost over right then as some keen punter rocked his bike side to side and firmly locked his bars onto mine. Not too good when we were getting up to speed on the tarmac but I kept it upright and onwards.

Well the Sydney 12 Hour is done for another year. This year the late surprise change of venue was a welcome change as we were set to race on at Dargle Farm which I've never raced on before. My race report is here however in short it was a great day in the saddle for 195km and even managed to sneak into 10th position.
Since the 12 hour though things have been a bit hectic and the training has been hit and miss. I did manage one session on the trainer before it packed it in and broke! Then come the weekend and with the wet weather and a weekend away without the bikes ( I know, crazy right?) it seemed better to right the week off.
So the week coming has me itching to get back in the saddle with a few big rides coming up including Chocolate Foot at Stromlo and the Angry Doctor in Mogo. Good times! |

What a week. Team Enduro Pulse launch on the weekend just gone, new FTP Training program started this week and a 12 hour race this weekend.
The Fenz has unveiled just what my next 10 weeks of training will involve and it looks like it'll hurt! No longer will I just be plodding along through an hour ride as I'll be busting out some VO2 max sessions every week. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not an elite athlete by a long shot so all of the variations in sessions are totally new to me. It's only after starting a training program that includes some hard sessions that you look back and realise that a lot of my old training was just taken a bit too easy.
So I'm only a couple of days into the new program and I'm racing solo at the Jet Black 12 Hours WSMTB race this Saturday. The car is all loaded and I'm so excited to check out a new race track at Dargle Farm. Apparantely there used to be races on this private property farm years ago but it'll be my first visit. Bring it on!

Yahoo!7 Launch Party 1 Minute Enduro |

Last night was the scene of an epic battle, sprint finish, lactic acid and angry faces. And all without a mountain bike in sight! Yahoo!7 have launched a new adventure destinations website Banzai and Thursday was the launch party in Sydney.
With two spin bikes, a motivating time keeper and competive spirits the bikes were attacked for 60 seconds of pain. Good fun on a great night and what's more exciting is that Banzai is the perfect platform to spread the enduro word to the masses.
I'll be blogging away on Banzai, along with Juliane from Rocky Trail Entertainment. You can check the site out here

Oh, and in case your wondering who won, it was Martin from Rocky Trail Entertainment representing MTB taking the win from Karl from Trizone. |
